Jeg Coughlin Jr’s JEGS.com / Mopar - Dodge Avenger will be powered by Mopar Hemi engines supplied by JNR Racing, the JEGS in-house engine program founded by JEGS, Nick Ferri, and Roy Simmons. Former FIA European Drag Racing champion Tomi Laine will be Jeg Jr’s crew chief in 2012.

Delaware, Feb. 8, 2012: During his hiatus from Pro Stock racing in 2011, Jeg returned to his roots and spent much of the year racing in various sportsman classes. He enjoyed tremendous success, winning the Super Comp title at the JEGS NHRA Pacific SPORTSnationals in Fontana, Calif., and numerous major E.T. bracket racing titles.

In 12 previous appearances at the NHRA Winternationals, Jeg Jr has a win-loss record of 18-9 in Pro Stock Competition. In 27 career appearances at Auto Club Pomona Raceway, which is also the site of the season-ending Auto Club Finals, Jeg has a round win record of 48-20 in Pro Stock competition.

In 1999, Jeg Jr defeated his older brother Troy to win the Winternationals Pro Stock title. The Coughlin brothers also raced in the final of the 1999 Denver event, with Jeg Jr once again claiming the win.
