Take Your Daughter to Work Day: Thursday, April 22 is Take Your Daughter to Work Day, a program created by the Ms. Foundation for Women in 1993. The Take Your Daughter to work Day program was started to show young girls that there is a world of opportunity for them to be anything they choose.

In honor of this occasion, David Green, driver of the No. 41 AFG Chevrolet Monte Carlo, is bringing his daughter Kaylie to his office. Unlike most fathers, work for Green on Thursday consists of practicing and qualifying a NASCAR Busch Series race car for Saturday's Touchstone Energy 300 and his 'office' is the 2.66 mile high-banked Talladega Superspeedway.

"It's nice that there is an opportunity like this for me to have my family at the track," said Green, the 1994 NASCAR Busch Series champion. "The number one drawback from being a race car driver is being away from them."

Kaylie has spent many days at the office with her dad, but never on such a special occasion.

"Whether I sit on the pole or I have to take a provisional, at the end of the day, when I see her face, she makes a bad day better and a good day awesome."

David Green Quick Fact: In his last three NASCAR Busch Series starts at Talladega Superspeedway, David Green's average starting position is 11th.

1999 Superspeedway Debut: The Touchstone Energy 300 at Talladega Superspeedway marks David Green's 1999 NASCAR Busch Series Superspeedway debut. It is also the first Superspeedway start for the Larry Hedrick Motorsports NASCAR Busch Series team, but is not the first time the No. 41 AFG Chevrolet Monte Carlo has been on a Superspeedway.

"We tested the car earlier in the year at Daytona and were 2nd fastest, but we didn't race in Daytona," said Green. "This is the first time this car is in competition and we are excited about it since we tested so well."
