THE AUTO CHANNEL Congratulates Buddy Lazier and the Delta Faucet/Coors Light/Tae-Bo/Hemelgarn Racing Dallara/Oldsmobile team on their win in the Inaugural Belterra Resorts Indy 300. THE AUTO CHANNEL "Best Show of the Show" award to 3rd place finisher Sarah Fisher and Walker Racing for driving the "Cummins Special" fastest in July's Open Test Session, 3rd fastest in Saturday's practice, and for all the other achievements that propelled that team to its highest IRL finish. Further KUDOS to: Jimmy Kite... for winning several "cat and mouse" games with Scott Goodyear, Sam Hornish, Buddy Lazier, and Jeff Ward to stay on the lead lap as long as he could. The folks at Estee-Lauder/Aramis should be proud. Sam Hornish, Jr... driving the wheels off his race car in his wheel to wheel battle with Jaques Lazier for 9 laps. Led 38 great laps. At times, he was running faster than the pole qualifying speed. Only a pit stop "miscalculation" kept him from finishing on the lead lap. He gets our vote for the Panther Racing Pennzoil ride in 2001. Congratulations young man. Jaques Lazier... making everyone take notice that HE's the new driver of the Mid American Freight Systems Indy Car. 2nd fastest in practice, 8 laps led... had to fight for every one.
