Dollar Rent A Car Supports Industry Rate Increase

    TULSA, Okla., Feb. 14 Dollar Rent A Car, a subsidiary of
Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. , today announced it fully
supports increased nationwide car rental rates.  Dollar's response was made in
reaction to an announcement made yesterday by ANC Rental Corporation.

    "We strongly support an increase in car rental rates on a nationwide
basis," Gary Paxton, Dollar Rent A Car President said.  "With operating costs
and certain economic factors impacting the car rental industry, we would
certainly benefit from a more disciplined pricing environment.  This is
particularly important and timely as we enter what is typically a period of
strong consumer demand."
