All-New 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Named 'Best in Class People Mover'

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 16 The Chrysler Group's crown
jewels continue to drive home with awards.

After conducting extensive winter weather driving tests over the past four
months, members of the New England Motor Press Association (NEMPA) named the
all-new 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport All-Wheel Drive as "Best In Class
People Mover" in its annual "Official Winter Car of New England" competition.
This marks the fourth year in a row that a Chrysler Group minivan has driven
home with this prestigious award.

"Once again, Dodge Caravan comes to New England armed with a Chrysler
Group exclusive -- all-wheel drive," said John Paul, President of NEMPA. "In
addition to offering this exclusive minivan feature, an extremely valuable
feature in our part of the country, Dodge has taken Caravan's ride and
handling quality to an all-new level. It's a winner."

    "With our all-new 2001 Dodge Caravan, we've made the world's best-selling
minivan even better," said Jim Julow, Vice President, Dodge Global Brand
Center. "All-wheel drive is a real benefit not only in winter weather driving
conditions, but year round."

With its bold styling and innovative features, Dodge Caravan is the
world's best-selling minivan and has been for the past 18 years. In North
America, Dodge sells nearly 350,000 Caravans annually and has a 24 percent
market share in the minivan segment, the highest of any nameplate.

Since introducing the category in 1983, the Chrysler Group has sold nearly
9 million Dodge and Chrysler minivans, introduced nearly 50 minivan-first
features and earned more than 150 awards. Between Chrysler and Dodge, the
company sells more than 600,000 minivans worldwide every year and has more
than 35 percent of the North American minivan market segment.
