New 2002 Acura 3.5 RL Sedan Prices Announced

TORRANCE, Calif., March 21 Acura announced today the
arrival of the 2002 3.5 RL luxury sedan in showrooms nationwide. Priced at
$43,150, Acura's flagship sedan, already one of the most technologically
advanced and luxurious automobiles on the market, sets an even more impressive
standard for 2002 with a significant increase in horsepower, a sport-tuned
suspension and the addition of the OnStar(R) communications system.

A new, more powerful 225 horsepower, 3.5-liter, V6 engine is mated to a
sophisticated computer-controlled 4-speed automatic transmission with Grade
Logic Control that automatically holds the proper gear to all but eliminate
unnecessary shifts and gear "hunting."

The RL's race-bred, double-wishbone suspension has been revised for 2002,
delivering even greater handling responsiveness and stability without
sacrificing ride quality. New P225/55R16 Michelin high-performance tires and
16-inch aluminum-alloy wheels enhance the RL's cornering capability, while an
advanced speed-sensing, variable power-assisted steering system results in
even more impressive road feel and handling control.

The 2002 RL also received subtle enhancements to the exterior including
redesigned alloy wheels and select body-colored molding and trim. Inside the
RL, an elegant cabin environment boasts a wide array of standard comfort and
convenience features, including an Acura/Bose(R) Music System with 6-disc CD
changer, an Automatic Climate Control system, a Homelink(TM) system built into
the sun visor, and a power moonroof.

An additional standard feature of the new 3.5 RL is the OnStar(R) system,
an advanced on-board communications system that provides the driver and
passengers with access to a wide variety of services -- from emergency
roadside assistance to route and location guidance and concierge services.
OnStar Basic Service will be provided to RL owners free of charge for the
first 12 months.

Also available, for a modest charge, is the OnStar Virtual Advisor, which
provides access to in-car stock quotes, news reports, sports scores and
e-mail -- all using a hands-free, voice-activated system.

The only factory-installed option for the Acura 3.5 RL is the DVD-based
Acura Satellite Linked Navigation System. The sophisticated, yet easy-to-use
system provides mapping of the continental United States and stores
3.7 million points of interest on a single Digital Versatile Disc (DVD)
through an easy to read 7-inch color LCD display.

Like all Acura models, the 3.5 RL is covered by a comprehensive
4-year/50,000 mile bumper-to-bumper limited warranty. Additional ownership
benefits include Acura Total Luxury Care (TLC), which provides free 24-hour
roadside assistance, concierge service, and trip routing.

Acura offers a full line of premium performance vehicles through a
nationwide network of nearly 260 dealers. The Acura line-up features six
distinctive models including the exotic NSX supercar, the 3.5 RL luxury sedan,
the 3.2 TL luxury performance sedan, the 3.2 CL luxury performance coupe, the
sporty Integra, and the revolutionary MDX sport utility vehicle.
