Lexus Announces New Pricing

    TORRANCE, Calif., March 30 Lexus today announced price
increases for select 2001 models.

    The manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP) of the GS 300 and GS 430
luxury sport sedans will increase $50.  The GS 300 will be priced at $38,605,
representing a 0.1 percent change, while the GS 430's MSRP will be $47,405, a
0.1 increase.  Lexus' volume leader, the RX 300 mid-size sport utility vehicle
(SUV), will increase $50.  The MSRP for the front-wheel drive RX 300 will be
$33,955, a 0.1 percent change, and the all-wheel drive RX 300 will be priced
at $35,705, a 0.1 percent increase.  The price for Lexus' premium SUV, the LX
470, will increase 0.7 percent, or $450, to $61,855.  The MSRP for the third
generation of Lexus' flagship model, the LS 430, will increase $200 to
$54,205, a 0.4 percent change.

    On average, the overall price increase for the Lexus line-up is
0.2 percent, or $79 over initial 2001-model pricing.  The price changes for
the GS 300/430, RX 300 and LX 470 will be effective on May 1, while the LS 430
price change will be effective on June 1.

    Option prices on all models, MSRP for the 2001 IS 300 sport sedan and
ES 300 entry-level luxury sedan and the delivery, processing and handling fee
of $545 remain unchanged.
