Visteon to Supply DVD Rear Seat Entertainment System To DaimlerChrysler

    DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 8 Visteon Corporation
today announced that it has secured a contract to supply its Digital Versatile
Disc (DVD) Rear Seat Entertainment System to MOPAR(R), DaimlerChrysler's
original equipment replacement parts and accessories division.  The vehicle
enhancement package will be available to consumers through authorized
dealerships for all 2002 model year Chrysler and Dodge minivans in North
America and Europe.
    Visteon will supply the product hardware, provide its systems integration
expertise and develop the necessary installation guidelines.  Visteon's DVD
Rear Seat Entertainment System, which will carry the MOPAR brand name Rear
Seat Video(TM) System, will be shipped directly to the dealerships.

    MOPAR's Rear Seat Video(TM) System supplied by Visteon will feature an
integrated in-dash installation that plays both video DVDs and audio CDs.
This option -- which augments the existing VHS version and floor-mounted
console -- maximizes space within the vehicle cabin and provides consumers the
option to choose from the latest in-vehicle entertainment technology being
offered.
    In addition, the auxiliary input has been conveniently integrated into the
rear window trim panel, which accommodates a video camera, CD player and most
game systems including Nintendo 64(R) and Sony PlayStation(R).  Other system
features include a high-resolution overhead 7.0" LCD display screen, the
ability to play sound through the entire vehicle audio system, wireless
headphones and an infrared remote control.
    This entertainment system marks the expansion of Visteon's existing
product line -- including a VHS version as well as a navigation system --
currently being offered through MOPAR.  All products are available for
consumer purchase through authorized Chrysler, JEEP(R) and Dodge dealerships.
