Mitsubishi Motors Enhances Incentive Program: Zero Down, Zero Interest, Zero Payments Until 2003

CYPRESS, Calif., Oct. 31 -- Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. (MMSA) today improved its popular 0-0-0 financing program to include all 2001 and 2002 Mitsubishi makes and models, and extended the offer until November 30, 2001.

``We're now giving customers the opportunity to drive home in a brand new Mitsubishi without spending a dime until 2003,'' said MMSA President and Chief Operating Officer Pierre Gagnon.

``It's an important incentive during this period of uncertainty,'' Gagnon added. ``At the same time, it's a sign of our absolute confidence in the future of the American economy.''

On the eve of releasing the latest month's sales figures, Gagnon said Mitsubishi Motors would report record sales for the month of October, a sign of the company's continuing momentum despite the recent economic slowdown. Mitsubishi Motors posted record U.S. sales for August 2001 and despite the tragic events of September 11th, last month posted the second-best September in company history.

MMSA Executive Vice President and General Manager Greg O'Neill said Mitsubishi's incentive program will be in effect longer and offer more options to consumers than similar incentive packages offered by other auto makers.

``We're committed to giving customers more options during a time when they need it most,'' O'Neill said. ``In addition to offering no money down and no payments until 2003, we're also offering customers the option of financing their new Mitsubishi at zero interest for three to five years.''

``Like most Americans, we're convinced that things are going to get better,'' O'Neill added. ``This deal offers customers a chance to buy a new vehicle without the immediate burden of monthly payments.''

Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. was established in 1981 by Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, Tokyo, and markets a full line of vehicles, including coupes, convertibles, sedans and sport utility vehicles. Its website can be accessed at www.mitsubishicars.com.
