Nissan Safety Engineers Present Rollover Research Findings At the SAE 2002 World Congress

DETROIT, March 6 -- Today, a team of Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (NML) and Nissan North America, Inc. (NNA) safety engineers will present technical research papers at the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) 2002 World Congress.

The presentations report the results from a series of rollover tests conducted in Japan by the Nissan safety engineers. Rollover crashes have continued to be a source of extensive research into determining both vehicle performance and occupant crash protection.

``Nissan takes its commitment to product safety and customer satisfaction very seriously. We continue to study and analyze all aspects of safety engineering,'' says Bob Yakushi, NNA corporate manager, auto safety engineering. ``Rollover crashes continue to be of significant interest and concern to the industry and will be the focus for our engineers at today's conference.''

The two studies to be presented by the Nissan engineers are as follows:

Nissan is dedicated to building quality and safety in its vehicles. This global team effort is another example of Nissan's commitment to build safe vehicles.
