Cummins Inc. Recognized In The Top Ten Of Business Ethics' 100 Most Responsible Corporate Citizens List in 2002

    COLUMBUS, Ind.--May 13, 2002--Today Cummins Inc. acknowledged selection by Business Ethics magazine as one of The 100 Most Responsible Corporate Citizens for the third year in a row. Cummins was ranked 7th overall in the 2002 listing, up from 16 in 2001.
    Cummins is honored to be a part of this group, which includes some of the best public companies in America. Cummins has been always been committed to being a responsible corporate citizen in all the communities we operate in, as well as the rest of the world.

KLD Research & Analytics, a Boston-based social research firm, collects and synthesizes a broad array of data over a 3 year time period. Judging is statistically analyzed from these compilations based on standardized measures reflecting quality of service to seven stakeholder groups: stockholders, community, minorities and women, employees, environment, non-U.S. stakeholders, and customers.
