Featherlite Expands Use of KVH Satellite Technology Aboard Luxury Coaches

Luxury Bus Conversion Manufacturer Offers TracVision L3 as Standard; TracNet High-speed Internet and Tracphone as Options

MIDDLETOWN, R.I., June 27- Featherlite, Inc., one of the largest luxury bus conversion manufacturers in the United States, has announced that it will equip all 2003 model year Vantare(TM) luxury coaches with satellite technology from KVH Industries . In addition to installing the TracVision® L3 in-motion satellite TV system as standard equipment, Featherlite will also offer the TracNet(TM) Mobile High-speed Internet System and the Tracphone® 252 satellite telephone as optional equipment. While KVH is already the #1 manufacturer of in-motion satellite TV systems for the RV, coach, and trucking market, the addition of TracNet and Tracphone 252 mark a significant expansion of KVH's award-winning mobile satellite solutions within the RV industry.

"KVH has been the true leader in the satellite business for the RV industry," said Conrad Clement, president and chief executive officer of Featherlite, Inc. "They have proven to be the most reliable and innovative satellite system company in the mobile industry. We at Featherlite take pride in our close partnership with KVH Industries."

Featherlite, Inc., (Nasdaq: FTHR; www.featherliteusa.com) is one of the largest manufacturers of bus shell conversion luxury motorcoaches in the United States. Bus shell conversion motorcoaches are the most luxurious of all recreational vehicles and represent a unique market niche, with selling prices ranging from $400,000 to $1,000,000 or more. Customers for these coaches include entertainers, sports teams, coach leasing companies, and corporations, as well as affluent individuals. Featherlite is also the "Official Luxury Motorcoach" of NASCAR, IRL, and other motorsport sanctioning bodies.

"We are extremely pleased that Featherlite has chosen to offer KVH satellite equipment aboard Vantare motorcoaches, among the most luxurious vehicles on the road today," commented Ian Palmer, vice president of satellite sales. "KVH is committed to offering the most reliable and versatile in-motion satellite solutions available. Featherlite's selection of not only our TracVision L3 satellite TV antenna but also our TracNet and Tracphone satellite communications systems illustrates the tremendous value our satellite solutions have for owners and operators of RVs, motorcoaches, and other vehicles."

TracVision L3 is a fully automatic, in-motion antenna that delivers satellite television and audio from DIRECTV®, the DISH Network(TM), or other high-powered DVB-compatible satellite systems worldwide while the vehicle is both in motion and parked. Programming includes news, sports, weather, movies, and other entertainment commonly found on cable TV systems, as well as more than 40 channels of commercial-free CD-quality music. The TracVision L3 is also fully compatible with the new KVH TracNet Mobile High-speed Internet System. TracNet receives Internet downloads at speeds reaching 400 kilobits per second (Kbps) via the high-powered, mobile DirecPC® satellite service, available exclusively from KVH Industries. The Tracphone 252, which will be offered as an option, provides global satellite voice, fax, and data service via the Inmarsat mini-M service.

"We expect that Tracphone 252 will be a valuable addition to Featherlite's list of options, especially for those Featherlite customers participating in and attending NASCAR events" explained James LeBelle, KVH's national sales manager for land mobile products. "With 250,000 people attending major NASCAR races, making a cellular phone call can be extremely frustrating due to overwhelmed circuits. However, with Tracphone 252 and the affordable Inmarsat mini-M system, you can be assured that you can make and receive those important phone calls and fax transmissions. Featherlite's decision to offer the Tracphone 252 marks the first time this award-winning system has been included as an option by a major vehicle manufacturer."
