FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 13,2002 - Motorola Automotive will offer CART racing fans the opportunity to have their pictures taken with Michael Andretti's Team Motorola race car in support of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation's (JDRF) Walk to Cure Diabetes.

On Sept. 15 from 8:00 a.m. to noon, Motorola and Ford Motor Company will bring Michael Andretti's Team Motorola race car to the JDRF Walk at the General Motors Tech Center in Warren, Mich. For a $3 donation to the JDRF, CART racing fans can get their picture taken with the car. Additionally, Motorola will host the Motorola Pit Stop Challenge at the Walk. Contestants who donate $5 can race against the clock to change a car's tire. The contestant with the fastest time will receive a pair of Motorola T5400 Talkabout® two-way radios.

"The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has made significant strides in the search to cure diabetes - researchers are at a turning point to finding a cure for diabetes, and we can all be an integral part to making this happen," said Jacqui Dedo, vice president and general manager of worldwide market operations, Motorola Automotive. "As an active community member, Motorola is proud to provide metro-Detroiters with the opportunity to help raise money for this cause."
