Cadillac Announces 2003 Escalade ESV Pricing

Cadillac EVS 2003

September 26, 2002 DETROIT - Cadillac today announced pricing for its new Escalade ESV, the most powerful luxury SUV available, will be $56,160 MSRP at introduction. The ESV will be in dealer showrooms by December 2002.

"The Escalade ESV is like no other vehicle in its segment," said Susan Docherty, Escalade marketing director. "With the Escalade ESV, Cadillac will again redefine the large luxury SUV segment and will assure Escalade's continued leadership in the marketplace."

The 2003 Cadillac ESV is 22 inches longer overall than Escalade, which stretches the interior by more than 20 inches, translating into more premium seating and additional cargo-carrying capability. And because it's an Escalade, the new ESV adopts the Escalade's unmistakable Cadillac styling and the 345-hp Vortec 6000 high-output 6.0L V8 engine.

"The ESV is a bold new addition to the Escalade family of vehicles," said Cadillac General Manager Mark LaNeve. "Together with the Escalade and EXT, Cadillac is playing a very strong hand in this increasingly competitive market."
