RVers Take Road Safety Seriously

RV Rally Features Safe Driving for Everyone Who Drives an RV or Is Thinking
                                   About It

PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Jan. 27 -- The Good Sam VIP RV Safety
Rally is now underway. This event is providing RVers with an opportunity to
learn how to be safer drivers through the use of hands on instruction and in a
classroom setting.
The event is still accepting registration for its second session
January 29 - 31, 2003. The RV Safety Rally, hosted by Affinity Group, Inc.
(AGI) http://www.affinitygroup.com and GMAC Insurance, is also offering a special
deal for Rally participants. For every one participant who registers at the
original price of $249, a second participant can be registered for the low
price of $124.50. That makes it easier for spouses, companions, friends and
family to participate. It presents an excellent opportunity for anyone
interested in RVing for recreation and travel. People choose and use RVs
because of flexibility, convenience, comfort, family appeal, affordability,
the lure of the outdoors and versatility. Renting as well as owning is
popular in the RV industry.
"The idea behind the program is the same as the premise for all AGI
activities," said Kathy Wenzel, AGI Partner Marketing Manager. "AGI programs
increase the ease and enjoyment of RVing for those who already enjoy the
lifestyle and to attract others to the freedom of RVing."
Participants are working with experienced instructors both in the
classroom and behind the wheel of the rig of their choice. The RV Hands On
Driving courses include safety exercises such as correct hand signals,
serpentine curves, passing, parking, off shoulder recovery, backing and
turning. Other segments include Auto Hands On Driving safety and a classroom
session for participants to ask questions, review information and share
experiences.
"By helping RVers become safer drivers, we can help reduce the number of
accidents involving RVs as well as increase a sense of safety and security for
RVers," said GMAC Insurance's Gail Peters.
The event is open to all who want to increase their traffic safety.
Interested drivers can register for the event by calling 1-800-765-1912
