Academy Of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences And Cadillac Get Ready For Oscar Night®

Historic Agreement Names Cadillac as Exclusive Car Provider for AMPAS and Official Sponsor of 75th Academy Awards

Beverly Hills, CA March 12, 2003; Marking a major agreement between two of the world's most recognized and respected names, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (AMPAS) and Cadillac are partnering for this year's Academy Awards telecast. The first of its kind for the organization, the deal establishes Cadillac as the exclusive car provider to the Academy. As an advertiser on the Oscar telecast, Cadillac is also an official sponsor of the 75th Academy Awards®.

Cadillac will be lending 30 vehicles - 10 Cadillac Escalades and 20 Cadillac Devilles - to be driven by Academy VIPs and special guests including PricewaterhouseCoopers representatives and those famous envelopes.

"Nothing signifies Cadillac's renaissance and rightful place in the luxury category as having the Academy ride with us for their most important event - Oscar Night®," said Mike Colleran, Cadillac Marketing Manager, GM's Western Region. "With the whole world watching, Cadillac is excited and getting ready for its close-up."

Awards for outstanding film achievements of 2002 will be presented on Sunday, March 23, 2003, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland® and televised live by the ABC Television Network beginning at 5:30 p.m. PST. A half-hour arrival segment will precede the presentation ceremony at 5 p.m. Information about the 75th Anniversary Academy Awards can be accessed on the World Wide Web at oscar.com.

Cadillac is a division of GM, the world's largest manufacturer of motor vehicles.
