2nd Annual GM ten Brings 75 years of Film and GM Design To the Fashion Runway for a Night of Nostalgia

General Motors, Fashion Designers and Fashion-Forward Celebrities Team Up for Charity

HOLLYWOOD, Calif.- From Gone with the Windto Matrix, flappersto hip-huggers, the classic Chevy Bel Air to today's trendy Cadillac Escalade, the American spirit will shine bright as powerhouse industries combine for a night of celebration. At the 2nd annual GM ten fashion show, this nostalgic journey will travel through time from the roaring twenties through the present day and beyond. In celebration of 75 years of GM design, ten celebrity models, ten cutting-edge fashion designers and ten innovative GM vehicles take to the runway as the most prestigious film awards ceremony shares the same hallmark anniversary. Cadillac, a division of General Motors, is a proud sponsor of the 75th Academy Awards®.

Celebrities includingDaryl Hannah, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Eve, Jessica Simpson andNick Lacheywill model couture fashion from Gucci to Ralph Lauren as General Motors' concept and classic vehicles take on the runway at a specially constructed pavilion on the corner of Sunset and Vine in the heart of Hollywood. The show will feature celebrity models in vintage and retro-inspired fashions and vehicles amidst a backdrop of images from the Hollywood's most celebrated films. GM ten will benefit several celebrity charities and the American Breast Cancer Association.

"GM vehicles have shared a stage with film, music and fashion for the last 75 years, helping to shape the history of American pop culture," said Mike Jackson, GM Western Region General Manager. "And today, more than ever, vehicles continue to play a major role in setting styles and trends and leading the image-defining perceptions of a generation."

Models will bewearing fashions from Alberto Ferretti, Alexander McQueen, Badgley Mischka, Carolina Herrera, Chanel, Christian Dior, Christian LaCroix, Collette Dinnigan, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Ellie Saab, Emanuel Ungaro, Escada, Gianfranco Ferre, Giorgio Armani, Givenchy, Gucci, Hugo Boss, J. Lindeberg, Jean Paul Gaultier, John Varvatos, Matthew Williamson, Michael Kors, Narciso Rodriguez, Oscar De La Renta, Prada, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Valentino, Vera Wang, Versace, Yohji Yamamoto and Yves Saint Laurent.

In a setting melding fashion and vehicle design, the evening begins with cocktails & hors d'oeuvres at 9 p.m. followed by the fashion show and culminating with an after-party featuring special appearances by Hip-hop rap artist EveandN.E.R.D. (a.k.a. the Neptune).

Innovative, cutting-edge GM concept and production vehicles including Buick Centieme, Cadillac SRX, Cadillac V-16, Chevrolet Cheyenne, GMC Canyon, HUMMER H2 SUT, Pontiac Bonneville GXP, Pontiac G6, Pontiac GTO and the Saab 9-3 Convertible will grace the runway to highlight the future of car design. Vintage GM cars also featured on the runway will include the 1927 Cadillac LaSalle, 1938 Buick Y-Job, 1940 Oldsmobile Woody Wagon, 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air, 1964 Pontiac GTO, 1972 Chevrolet Corvette LT1, 1987 Pontiac Fiero and the 1999 Buick Cielo.
