AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE Teams With Jaguar for Special Supplement on New XJ

Custom Publishing Joint Venture Highlights the Editorial Quality and Consumer Influence of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE

NEW YORK, May 22 -- The PRIMEDIA Consumer Automotive Group today announced the publication of a special editorial supplement to AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE: "Leaping Ahead -- The Inside Guide to the All-New Aluminum Jaguar XJ," a joint venture between AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE and Jaguar Cars North America.

The focus of this special supplement is on the development process of Jaguar's new XJ sedan, to which AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE was given unlimited access. Some highlights from the supplement include:

   * From Past to Present: A pilgrimage to the great places where the story
of Jaguar in America has been made

   * Skinned Cat: A look under the skin of the XJ, the most technologically
advanced car ever built by Jaguar

   * New Bags of Tricks: Less weight means greater safety, both in avoiding
crashes and when you get involved in one

   * Road Racer: Jaguar Racing's Formula 1 driver Mark Webber comes to grips
with the supercharged XJR at the famed Silverstone course in England

   * Cat with Six Lives: The XJ sedan has been though six previous
iterations, beginning in 1968, some more memorable than others

AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE, America's leading automotive lifestyle publication, has an extensive track record of teaming with automotive manufacturers on custom publishing projects, each focused on specific product and corporate milestones. Most recently, AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE produced "The Outdoor Guide" with American Honda Motor Co., showcasing Honda's entire line of motorized products; and "A Century of Winning" with Ford Motor Company, highlighting the company's 100 years of motorsports involvement.

"The editorial quality, integrity and judgment of the main title is always reflected in the custom piece," said David Forgione, group publisher of the PRIMEDIA Consumer Automotive Group.

With recognition for the influential consumer audience that AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE reaches, this joint publishing venture allows Jaguar to reach a key group of involved automotive enthusiasts whose opinions will help shape broader public awareness of the new Jaguar XJ.

"Leaping Ahead-The Inside Guide to the All-New Aluminum Jaguar XJ" is available to subscribers, polybagged with the June 2003 issue of AUTOMOBILE MAGAZINE.
