Hyundai Sales for August Set New All-Time Record
FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Sept. 3 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced sales of 41,073 vehicles for the month of August setting a new all-time record for Hyundai sales in the U.S. The previous all-time sales record was set one year ago in August 2002. Year-to-date sales of Hyundai vehicles in the U.S. are up 2.1 percent.
"Hyundai vehicles deliver the kind of value consumers are looking for," said Robert Cosmai, acting president and CEO of Hyundai Motor America. "And that brings customers into the dealer showrooms. Hyundai's record August sales were led by the compact Elantra, the Santa Fe sport utility vehicle and the midsize Sonata sedan."
"All Hyundai vehicles sold in the U.S. are also covered by the Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty, which includes the outstanding 10-year/100,000 Powertrain Warranty," Cosmai said. "It's all part of the great Hyundai value story."
