Nissan Titan Named Edmunds.com Editors' Most Significant Vehicle of the Year for 2004

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 9, 2003 -- Edmunds.com ( http://www.edmunds.com/ ), the Internet's premiere resource for consumer automotive information, today named the Nissan Titan the Edmunds.com Editors' Most Significant Vehicle of the Year for 2004.

This accolade is awarded to a vehicle that changes the rules of a given segment, creates a new niche or redefines an automaker's image.

"The Titan represents the first true import competitor to the full-size trucks from Ford, GM and Dodge -- changing the rules for that segment," explains Karl Brauer, Editor In Chief of Edmunds.com. "Titan also represents Nissan's entry into the best-selling market segment on the planet, redefining its image as a full-line automaker."

Past award winners include the Nissan 350Z, MINI Cooper, Chrysler PT Cruiser and Honda Insight; details can be reviewed at http://www.edmunds.com/reviews/mostwanted/2003/index.html and video clips are available at http://www.edmunds.com/video /.

On October 28, the Edmunds.com Editors' Most Wanted awards will be announced, recognizing the current model year vehicles the Edmunds.com editors would buy with their own money. Members of the public are invited to vote for their own vehicle choices at Edmunds.com each April.
