El Monte RV Donates Motorhomes For Wildfire Relief

SANTE FE SPRINGS, Calif.--Oct. 3, 20030, 2003--El Monte RV, California's largest RV rental company, is mobilizing at San Bernardino International Airport to help the on-site authorities as well as displaced residents with fire relief and temporary housing.

El Monte RV has donated a number of motorhomes for the rescue authorities to use as temporary headquarters for relief staffing. The company has also set up a display near the emergency shelter airport hanger to offer residents who have lost their homes motorhome rentals.

"We want to make finding a place to temporarily live as easy as possible for residents that have already suffered enormous loss," said Ken Schork, president of El Monte RV. "We have made all of our motorhomes in Southern California available for rent at discounted rates as part of our commitment to the relief effort."

Displaced residents can either visit the on-site display at San Bernardino Airport or its San Bernardino location at 565 E. Redlands Blvd.

All residents affected by the California wildfires needing temporary housing can call 1-800-367-3687 for discounted rate and reservation information. El Monte RV will deliver motorhomes to residents in remote locations and/or those left without transportation.

San Diego Country Fire Relief

El Monte RV motorhomes are available in San Diego County for residents displaced by the Cedar, Otay and Paradise fires. Nearest locations are at Santee Rents in Santee, 8665 Mission Gorge Road and in Spring Valley at California Baja Rent A Car, 9245 Jamacha Blvd. Motorhomes are available at the Oceanside location at Mission Truck Rentals, 3320 Mission Avenue.

Simi Valley Fire Relief

Residents displaced by the Simi Valley and Piru fires may pick up or have motorhomes delivered from any of the Los Angeles-Area El Monte RV locations. El Monte RV in Van Nuys is located at 6323 Sepulveda Blvd.; in Camarillo at D&G Automotive at 372 Dawson Drive; in El Monte at El Monte RV at 12061 E. Valley Blvd.; and in Sante Fe Springs at 12818 Firestone Blvd.
