2004 Town Car is Timeless Style With Contemporary Flair

DEARBORN, Mich. – When you think Lincoln, think luxury.

The Lincoln brand first graced America's roads in 1921, and its hallmark was elegance and craftsmanship. That tradition continues today with the 2004 Lincoln Town Car.

"The Lincoln Town Car is built to impress," writes Connie Keane in The Washington Times.

It's the brand's highest-volume model, and its customers are among Lincoln's most loyal. More than 60 percent of Town Car buyers are repeat customers.

The Town Car was redesigned last year, blending timeless style with contemporary flair in its design, along with a revised chassis, retuned suspension and fully boxed and partially hydroformed frame rails.

Town Car comes equipped with premium leather seating surfaces, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and eight-way power driver and passenger seats. "The result of all of this is a car that still provides an ultra-quiet, serene ride for front- or rear-seat executives, but one that can now be hurried with much greater élan (read: less body pitch and roll), should anyone attempt a hostile roadside takeover of Mr. or Ms. Big," according to the editors of Car and Driver.

For 2004, the Town Car is offered with several new exterior and interior color combinations. A standard 239-horsepower, 4.6-liter V-8 engine packs plenty of punch under the hood, and for the new model year, Town Car's engine is mated to an improved four-speed automatic transmission.

Lincoln is offering two Town Car models for 2004: the Signature and the Ultimate. Numerous features are available, but even the base Town Car Signature model already comes equipped with premium leather seating surfaces, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control and eight-way power driver and passenger seats.

Not to mention best-in-class trunk space and remarkable leg and hip room up front.
