Snides Remarks I was sure glad we could use the photos of Team Captain Nikki before Chrysler pulled out...so to speak...I'm sure that the cancellation charges cost Chrysler more money than they spend on advertising on The Internet each year. No Internet budgets my ass. Hey Dieter get a handle on what's going on with your advertising, if Dodge found the money to support a bevy of beautiful breasts, can't it find the budget to support the interactive future?

DETROIT December 16, 2003;Dow Jones reported that DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler group may be close to dropping its sponsorship of the Lingerie Bowl -- a Super Bowl Sunday football game between models in underwear -- after a dealer council urged the company to cut its ties to the event, The Wall Street Journal reported.

DaimlerChrysler marketing chief Joe Eberhard was expected to make a decision to have the company's Dodge brand back out as sponsor, according to Jack Carroll, president of the National Dodge Dealer Advertising Association. The group discussed the Lingerie Bowl with Chrysler marketing executives Monday.

A DaimlerChrysler spokesman confirmed the company was reconsidering its involvement, but he said no decision had been reached.

The Lingerie Bowl will be a tackle football game between teams of seven models wearing bras and panties. Two of the models have appeared in Playboy magazine. The 20-minute game, available via pay-per-view television for $19.95, is timed to take place during halftime of the National Football League's Super Bowl on Feb. 1.

The Dodge brand signed on to sponsor the Lingerie Bowl in November, but ran into flak from employees, dealers and customers who saw the event as sexist.
