Hyundai Sets All-Time Sales Record in U.S.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif., Dec. 19, 2003 -- Hyundai Motor America today announced that vehicle sales in the U.S. have set an all-time record for the company. The previous record was 375,119, which was established last year. "Exceeding last year's record is a significant milestone on the way to meeting our goal of 400,000 sales in the U.S. in calendar year 2003," said Hyundai's Vice President, National Sales, Edward F. Bradley.

Year-to-date sales of Hyundai vehicles in the U.S. are up 4.5 percent. "Breaking the sales record in this intensely competitive market shows the growing strength of the Hyundai brand value with consumers and the dedication of our hard-working dealers," Bradley said.

"All Hyundai vehicles sold in the U.S. are also covered by the Hyundai Advantage, America's Best Warranty, which includes the outstanding 10-year/100,000 Powertrain Warranty," Bradley added. "It's all part of the great Hyundai value story."

Hyundai Motor America, headquartered in Fountain Valley, Calif., is a subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Company of Korea. Hyundai cars and sport utility vehicles are distributed in the United States by Hyundai Motor America and are sold and serviced by more than 620 dealerships nationwide.
