Cars and Stars Shine in WXYZ-TV/Channel 7's 'NORTH AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL AUTO SHOW CHARITY PREVIEW'

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., Jan. 6, 2004 -- An impressive array of cars and stars will be featured in WXYZ-TV/Channel 7's "2004 NAIAS CHARITY PREVIEW," a black-tie charity event showcasing the automotive industry. The two-hour special will air live from the 2004 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) at Detroit's Cobo Center on Friday, January 9, 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Hosted by WXYZ-TV/Channel 7 Action News anchor Diana Lewis and Guy Gordon, the program features live reports from the floor of the auto show by WXYZ anchors, Stephen Clark and Carolyn Clifford. They'll be joined by Sports Director Don Shane, reporters Mary Conway and Heather Catallo, as well as Public Affairs/Editorial Director Chuck Stokes.

WXYZ-TV/Channel 7's bumper-to-bumper coverage of the "2004 NAIAS CHARITY PREVIEW" will also feature special appearances by celebrity guest stars Bob Goen, host of "Entertainment Tonight" and ABC heartthrob and Michigan native, "Bachelor" Bob Guiney. The program will also feature interviews with key automotive industry leaders, including Bill Ford, Rick Wagner, Bob Lutz, and Dr. Dieter Zetsche in addition to a special appearance by Michigan Governor, Jennifer Granholm.

Scheduled for broadcast on stations across the state (check local listings), the "2004 NAIAS CHARITY PREVIEW" special can also be seen live on the Internet via WXYZ-TV/Channel 7's website at www.wxyz.com .
