2004 North American International Auto Show to Feature Special Guest Appearances

Austin Powers star Verne Troyer 'Mini-Me' to greet guests at Michigan Hall

DETROIT, Jan. 10 -- The 2004 North American International Auto Show will feature special guest appearances from actors Verne Troyer, who is best known for his role as "Mini-Me" in the Austin Powers series, and Phil Fondacaro, from the motion picture Willow and his recurring role as Roland on Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Troyer and Fondacaro will be appearing in a new Reality Pilot for NBC called "Life Is Too Short." Elena Fondacaro, co-creator and co-executive producer of the show, will be in attendance as well.

Troyer, who also appeared in Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and Fondacaro will be greeting guests and signing autographs at the DUB(R) Magazine specialty car exhibit in Cobo Center's Michigan Hall. They will both be in attendance at the show on Saturday, Jan. 10 and Sunday, Jan. 11 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Troyer's 2004 Chrysler Crossfire is on display along with Los Angeles Laker Shaquille O'Neal's Cadillac Escalade and Hip Hop artist from OutKast Big Boi's Hummer H2.

In keeping with the newly renovated Michigan Hall's showcase for specialty vehicles and customization, O'Neal's Escalade is equipped with 24-inch designer wheels and Big Boi's Hummer H2 with 28-inch wheels.

Public Days for NAIAS 2003 are open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 10, through Sunday, Jan. 18. On Monday, January 19, the Show is open from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. There will be no admittance one hour in advance of closing each day.
