Subaru Reports January 2004 Sales

Total Sales Up; Forester Records Best Ever January

CHERRY HILL, N.J., Feb. 3 -- Subaru of America, Inc., the only car company that features Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive as standard equipment on every vehicle in its product line, today reported January sales of 12,984 units. This total represents a one percent increase from January 2003. Forester also recorded its best ever January with sales up 11 percent from last year.

Subaru Baja recorded sales of 629 units for the month. The Legacy model line posted a slight increase with 5,761 units, while the Subaru Outback recorded sales of 4,363 units for the month. The Impreza line recorded 2,283 units, while Forester posted sales of 4,311 units, up 11 percent over last year.
