Corinthian College to Expand Automotive and Diesel Programs

SANTA ANA, Calif., Feb. 26, 2004 -- Corinthian Colleges, Inc. today announced plans to nearly double the size of its WyoTech-Blairsville, Pennsylvania campus with the addition of a new 113,000-square-foot complex.

David G. Moore, Corinthian's chairman and chief executive officer, said, "Our focus at the WyoTech-campuses -- which include Laramie, Wyoming and our newest campus in Sacramento, California in addition to Blairsville -- is to provide our valued students with superior facilities, dedicated instructors, outstanding curricula, and supportive administrative staff throughout their automotive training programs. We believe WyoTech's student-centric focus provides our graduates with a competitive educational advantage when entering the workforce."

Expansion plans for WyoTech-Blairsville include the addition of classroom and training facilities. A new 24,000-square-foot addition to Blairsville's automotive facility is expected to be completed during the quarter ending December 31, 2004. A new 89,000-square-foot diesel facility will follow. Corinthian added three new training and testing facilities to the campus in 2003. When completed, the Blairsville campus is expected to encompass approximately 250,000 square feet.

WyoTech's Laramie, Wyoming campus currently hosts students in approximately 400,000 square feet of facilities, including a new 75,000-square-foot building added in 2003. Corinthian's third and newest WyoTech campus in Sacramento, California, which opened in January 2004, currently occupies approximately 80,000 square feet of space and, upon completion, is expected to replicate WyoTech's Blairsville, Pennsylvania campus.

"Our WyoTech campuses in Laramie, Blairsville and Sacramento are destination campuses that are strategically and geographically distributed," noted Moore. "WyoTech's 71 admissions representatives are located throughout the United States, and they meet with prospective students who may choose which WyoTech campus to attend."

WyoTech's education programs offer automotive, diesel and automotive collision technician training. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), in the year 2002, automotive technicians and repairers held 1,038,000 jobs in the United States. The BLS estimates this number will increase by 12.5% to 1,168,000 jobs by 2012.

Moore added: "Corinthian's expansion programs at our WyoTech campuses and our geographic reach are designed to meet the high employment growth demand projected nationally for automotive technicians. Student enrollment is exceeding our expectations, underscoring WyoTech's focus on comprehensive, quality training that serves the needs of employers as well as students."
