Camp Jeep Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Record Attendance in Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia

WHAT: Camp Jeep Virginia. 2005 is the 10th anniversary of the annual Camp Jeep summertime gatherings of Jeep enthusiasts from around the country. Since 1994, more than 63,000 Jeep enthusiasts have shared in the experience of Camp Jeep. The weekend event includes more than 150 activities for the entire family. The highlight: Jeep 101, a series of specially constructed courses designed to teach off-highway driving, safety skills and demonstrate the Trail Rated(TM) capabilities of the Jeep Wrangler, Liberty and Grand Cherokee.

Jeep Jubilee, the grand finale of Camp Jeep, will feature live musical performances by Michelle Branch and Nickel Creek followed by fireworks on Saturday, July 17.

WHY: An opportunity for Jeep enthusiasts to brush up on their off-road techniques and celebrate "Jeep Pride" with their families.

DETAILS: Located between Charlottesville and Lynchburg (approximately 35 miles from both) in Nelson County, Virginia. In Nelson County, proceed north of Colleen or south of Lovingston to Route 653 from 29 South. Route 653 is also Oak Ridge Road. Proceed 2.4 miles on Oak Ridge Road to driveway entrance on right (marked by an open gate and Oak Ridge sign).
