Hillsborough Celebrates 49th Annual Concours d'Elegance; Sunday, May 1, 2005 Event Will Feature English Classics Aston Martin and Bentley

HILLSBOROUGH, Calif.--Nov. 1, 2004--The 49th Annual Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance Classic Car Show and Family Festival is scheduled for Sunday, May 1, 2005. The featured marque automobiles for this year are Aston Martin and Bentley.

The first Concours of the season, the Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance offers car enthusiasts the first look at the most recent restorations and unique automobiles. It is held in conjunction with a Family Festival which features multicultural events, crafts, children's entertainment and food. Together, the events raise money to provide special programs within the local Hillsborough School District.

The Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance is the oldest continuously running car show in the West, and has earned a reputation as one of finest of the season. The show attracts more than 7,000 visitors and participants, and displays a select group of more than 200 vintage and classic cars dating back to the turn of the century.

On Saturday, April 30, 2005, the fifth Annual Hillsborough Tour d'Elegance will be held. Starting at 9 a.m., participants in this special event will gather at Crocker Middle School in Hillsborough and wind their way in a parade of classic cars along a scenic tour along an approximately 60-mile scenic route on the beautiful San Francisco Peninsula.

Proceeds of the Concours and Tour d'Elegance benefit the Hillsborough Schools Foundation, a non-profit organization benefiting the Hillsborough Public Schools.

Participant Registration: Car enthusiasts interested in entering a car must complete a registration form and submit their application by February 21, 2005. Early bird registration forms are due by January 14, 2005.

Description: The Hillsborough Concours d'Elegance is a classic car show representing classes and styles through the turn of the century. Aston Martin and Bentley will be jointly featured as the headline marque. There will be Carnival games, food, and entertainment for the whole family. The Tour d'Elegance, a special half-day driving tour and catered luncheon for a select group of classic cars entered in the following days' event will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2005.
