100,000th BMW Z4 Rolls Off the Line

SPARTANBURG, S.C., Nov. 10, 2004 -- As BMW Manufacturing Co. nears the 10th anniversary of its grand opening, the plant celebrates another milestone as the 100,000th Z4 roadster rolls off the line just two years after production began on the vehicle.

The Phoenix Yellow Z4 was completed on November 8, 2004, and will be on display in the plant before being shipped to a BMW customer in Jena, Germany, near Leipzig. The vehicle also has matching Phoenix Yellow/Anthracite leather interior, 18-inch lightweight alloy wheels and aluminum silver interior trim.

BMW launched the Z4 roadster on October 22, 2002, to replace the Z3 roadster.
