Super Street Tuner Coursework Introduces Students to the Art of Compact Car Performance Enhancement

LOS ANGELES--Dec. 1, 20044, 2004--PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the worldwide brand licensing division for PRIMEDIA Inc. , the leading targeted media company, today announced the addition of the new SUPER STREET branded tuner curriculum to the Power and Performance, Hot Rod University training with Universal Technical Institute, Inc. , a nationwide provider of technical education training.

The addition of the SUPER STREET coursework is based on the training expertise of UTI and the growing popularity of automotive performance tuning as detailed in SUPER STREET magazine. This specialized coursework will be a part of the core Power and Performance curriculum, without extending the length of training, and will be available at the Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Avondale, AZ, Houston, TX, Exton, PA, Orlando, FL, and Glendale Heights, IL campuses. Students can enroll in the classes with the new coursework beginning in the spring of 2005.

"The Specialty Equipment Market Association reports tuner enthusiasts spent approximately $3 billion in 2003 on products and services to customize their cars," said Jacqueline Blum, president of PRIMEDIA Enterprises. "SUPER STREET Magazine is leading the charge in this rapidly growing sector and the addition of SUPER STREET coursework at UTI demonstrates the resonance, trust and expertise of the brand within the industry."

"We anticipate SUPER STREET will continue to enhance our students' success," said Kimberly McWaters, President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Technical Institute, Inc. "Tuner training should add useful skills for technicians entering the workforce. UTI strives to deliver value to our students and industry customers by providing high-impact branded curriculum."
