Woodward Dream Cruise, Inc. Votes to Enter Into Agreement with Susie Gross for Executive Director Position

PLEASANT RIDGE, Mich., Jan. 21, 2005 -- Woodward Dream Cruise, Inc. has accepted the bid of Susie Gross of Bloomfield Hills to act as executive director of the organization. Supporters cited Gross' experience as past executive director of The Parade Company, Inc, and her extensive fund-raising and public relations background.

"We are pleased to accept Ms. Gross' proposal," said Reverend Douglas Jones of Greater Pontiac Community Coalition, Pastor of Welcome Baptist Church, and president of Woodward Dream Cruise, Inc. "It was a difficult decision between the two candidates, but Ms. Gross' event management experience and past work with some of the areas top business leaders tipped the scales in her favor."

The WDC, Inc. board will now direct their legal counsel to finalize a contract with Gross for approval at a future meeting.

"We view this as the beginning of a bright new chapter for WDC, Inc., as we enter our second decade," said Jones. "We understand the Woodward Dream Cruise role as a major regional event for Metropolitan Detroit, and we look forward to working with Ms. Gross to strengthen outreach in our nine communities and beyond."

The Woodward Dream Cruise, presented by Eaton Automotive, is the world's largest one-day automotive event. It stretches over 16 miles through nine cities, with over 1.5 million in attendance annually. Always the third Saturday in August, the 2005 event will take place on August 20.
