Save The World Air's CAT-MATE Test Results Certified by United Kingdom's Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA)

Motorcycle and Generator Tests Conducted by Hong Kong Exhaust Emissions Laboratory (HKEEL)

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 2 -- The Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA), an executive Agency of the Department for Transport, is closely linked with the United Kingdom Government and European policy formulation and enforcement of vehicle safety and environmental standards. It is responsible for the certification of vehicles from many of the world's leading manufacturers and is the body responsible for the conduct of type approval tests on motor vehicles, their parts and systems. The VCA is one of four internationally recognized testing authorities for the certification of motor vehicles, parts, systems and aftermarket devices. The three other agencies are the US EPA, California Air Resources Board (CARB) and TUF (Germany/EEC).

The VCA evaluated test results conducted by their independent laboratory, Hong Kong Exhaust Emissions Lab (HKEEL) of Save The World Air's CAT-MATE Anti Pollution Devices conducted last summer.

"We are very pleased that the VCA has certified SWA test results conducted at the HKEEL confirming that our CAT-MATE devices significantly reduce harmful exhaust emissions," stated Edward L. Masry, SWA's Chief Executive Officer. Masry added that "we can now explore markets in Europe, Asia and Central and South America and SWA plans to commence production of the CAT-MATE devices later this year."

In the VCA's certification letter dated January 20, 2005, Michael J. Mulvaney, Head of Operations for VCA East Asia states: "VCA is of the opinion, based on our experience of the HKEEL laboratory and the information contained in the test results, that the results are an honest and accurate account of the exhaust gas emissions from the generator and the motorcycle before and after fitment of the SWA CAT-MATE device."

Mulvaney also stated, "VCA is satisfied that the laboratory is run in a competent and professional manner and that tests that are carried out within the scope of the certification can be relied upon as a true indication of the product that was tested."

These tests were conducted in July and August of 2004 under closely controlled conditions by HKEEL on a Honda 2-stroke NSR 150 motorcycle and a Warrior 2-stroke 63cc generator. The HKEEL tests demonstrated that SWA's CAT-MATE devices reduce emissions of carbon monoxide (CO), nitrous oxides (NOx) and total hydrocarbons (THC) by between 57% and 87%.

Two-stroke engines are a major source of airborne pollution around the world. This problem is especially acute in Asia where vehicles with two-stroke engines are the most popular form of transportation.
