Rival Technologies CWI Prototype Update

VANCOUVER, British Columbia--Feb. 2, 2005--Rival Technologies Inc., (OTCBB:RVTIF), announced today that it has commenced installation of its first CWI prototype for the transportation industry.

The installation is being made to a Dodge Ram pickup truck with a 5.9 liter in-line six cylinder, 24 valve, turbocharged, inter-cooled Cummins diesel engine. This engine was chosen because it is widely used in trucks and buses, off road construction equipment and diesel generators.

The prototype will be operational this month. Ongoing testing and adjustments are estimated to be completed in May, 2005.
