Toyota Kirloskar Launches Innova Minivan Production in India

Tokyo March 2, 2005;(JCNN) - Toyota Motor has launched the production of the Innova, a minivan that is one of the five newly developed vehicles under the Toyota-promoting IMV (Innovative International Multipurpose Vehicle) Project at Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private in Bangalore, India.

Succeeding the predecessor Qualis, Innova will be introduced exclusively for the Indian market. India is the fourth country with the IMV vehicle production base, after Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The new vehicle will go on sale in early March, with an initial monthly sales target of 4,500 units.
