America's Greatest Hot Rod Show: The 53rd Annual Murray's Discount Auto Stores Detroit Autorama, March 4 - 6, Cobo Center

The 53rd annual Murray's Discount Auto Stores Detroit Autorama revs into Cobo Center in Detroit on March 4 - 6. Billed as America's Greatest Hot Rod Show, this super buffed, turbo charged Detroit tradition features the hottest hot rods, custom cars and fifties classics in the country.

* MOVE IN for Autorama -- a good photo opportunity -- takes place on Thursday, March 3 -- all day

* The media is invited to a PREVIEW of the show on FRIDAY, MARCH 4, 9 a.m. to noon. The doors open to the public on Friday at noon.

Over 1,000 exhibits of chopped, channeled, dumped and decked hot rods, custom cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles of the past and present fill Cobo Center for the annual winter ritual. Last year more than 165,000 attended the three day event.

In addition to fabulous custom cars and motorcycles, celebrity stars will be at Autorama including Spongebob Squarepants and Dora the Explorer, Courtney Hansen from TV's Overhaulin, Red Wing star Chris Chelios, WWE star Lita and more.

                 Saturday, March 5, 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
