2005 SAE World Congress: USFCC to Showcase Fuel Cell Cars, Technology at Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Pavilion

WASHINGTON--April 5, 2005--The US Fuel Cell Council (USFCC) has teamed up with the California Fuel Cell Partnership to host the Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Pavilion at the 2005 World Congress of the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE).

The Fuel Cell & Hydrogen Pavilion will showcase fuel cell cars and technologies from several OEM and supplier members, including: DaimlerChrysler, General Motors, Nissan, Toyota, Ballard Power Systems, Gore Fuel Cell Technologies, Nuvera Fuel Cells, and UTC Fuel Cells, along with brochures and other demonstration pieces from other USFCC members.

    What: 2005 SAE World Congress
    When: April 11-15, 2005
Where: Booth # 1306, Cobo Hall
                Detroit, Michigan

"With oil prices spiking again, this focus on fuel cells is not merely timely, but necessary," said Robert Rose, USFCC executive director. "Fuel cells can both reduce reliance on imported oil and take the automobile out of the environmental debate. Hundreds of buses, cars, off-road vehicles and hydrogen fueling networks are proving the technology's feasibility around the world today, and the industry has launched pre-commercial fleet demonstrations here in the United States."

Expert staff from represented companies and the sponsoring associations will be on hand to answer questions and hand out materials. The SAE World Congress is the largest Original Equipment service, parts, and components exhibition in the world.

With more than 115 members, the US Fuel Cell Council is the voice of the fuel cell industry. For more information on USFCC, visit www.usfcc.com.
