NADAguides.com Editors Announce Top Vehicles of Summer 2005

Company's Experts Pick Their Favorite 'Hot' Vehicles in Ten Separate Categories

COSTA MESA, Calif., April 12 -- The editors at NADAguides.com (www.NADAguides.com), a leading vehicle information website, today announced their Top Vehicles of Summer 2005 choices -- winning vehicles chosen by the editorial experts at NADAguides.com as their own personal favorites in ten separate categories. A top pick was announced for each vehicle category, including favorite new car, truck and SUV, classic car, RV, van conversion, boat, personal watercraft, motorcycle and ATV.

Following is the NADAguides.com Top Vehicles of Summer 2005 list.

Top New Car -- 2005 Mustang GT

Mark Perleberg, lead auto expert at NADAguides.com, says the 2005 Mustang GT is THE sports car to watch out for this summer season. "With 300 horsepower and classic Mustang styling, this is a must-have car," said Perleberg. "This year's introduction is styled after the 1967 Mustang Fastback and due to its popularity, Ford has increased production to meet consumer demand. In my opinion, this is a beautiful car, an instant classic."

Top Truck -- Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona

With a 345hp hemi engine and distinctive styling, Perleberg's top truck choice for 2005 is the Dodge Ram 1500 Daytona. "The styling is reminiscent of the Daytona Charger of the late sixties and the big rear spoiler is one of the same features that helped Dodge dominate NASCAR this year," said Perleberg. "This is a super fast rig -- a perfect blend of toughness, speed and attractive design."

Top SUV -- 2005 Range Rover HSE

Next up on the list ... the top NADAguides.com SUV pick. According to Perleberg, the 2005 Range Rover HSE was the hands-down favorite with several key features that made the grade, including stand-alone SUV styling, a rugged drive train and a Bentley-like interior. "This vehicle has off-road capabilities that will astonish even the most serious four-wheelers," said Perleberg.

Top Classic Car -- 1970 Plymouth Barracuda Hemi

With 425hp and 490lb-ft of torch this car was capable of 0-60 in 5.6 seconds and could reach the quarter mile finish line in 13.41 seconds at a top speed of over 104 mph. "Limited production numbers make this fun-to-drive classic a great investment as well," said Steve Ferguson, classic car editor at NADAguides.com.

Top RV -- 2005 Pace Arrow 36D/23' Slide-Out

The 2005 Pace Arrow 36D features a 23' long x 30" deep full-wall-slide system and 74" floor-to-ceiling height -- features that propelled it to the top of the NADAguides.com Top Vehicles of Summer list in the recreation vehicle category. Lenny Sims, managing RV editor and VP of NADAguides.com, says this is the recreation vehicle to watch out for this summer season. "The spaciousness and the overall design appeal of this year's Pace Arrow 36D makes it an excellent choice for RV shoppers," said Sims.

Top Van Conversion -- 2005 Sportsmobile 4WD

"When I saw the Sportsmobile, I knew it would be an instant favorite," said Don Christy, Jr., CEO of NADAguides.com. "From road trips to tailgating at sporting events to off-road excursions for fishing, hunting or site seeing, this vehicle provides the performance and roominess necessary to handle virtually any outdoor adventure. Best of all, it looks great." Some added features include an expandable penthouse that increases the vehicle's overall height to 91.8", and 6.8L V-10 or 6.0L diesel engine choices.

Top Boat -- 2005 Monterey 263 Explorer Sport

Ready to hit the open water instead of the open road? Judy Applegate, marine editor at NADAguides.com, says her favorite pick this year is the Monterey 263 Explorer Sport. "This boat is roomy with a pleasing length of 26', it's easy to tow on the open road and offers a molded-in sink with wetbar and a portside privacy compartment that doubles as a storage room -- cool features and great quality in an affordable boat."

Top Personal Watercraft -- 2005 SeaDoo RXT

If you're a personal watercraft buff, NADAguides.com says the newly launched SeaDoo RXT is one of the market's hottest watercrafts for 2005. "The SeaDoo RXT boasts a super-charged four-stroke, three-cylinder Rotax(R) Engine with 215 horsepower," said Troy Heidemann, assistant marine editor at NADAguides.com. "Best of all, you can share the fun this summer season by hauling three riders on this watercraft."

Top Motorcycle -- 2005 Harley-Davidson 15th Anniversary Edition Fat Boy

With 1550cc of power housed in a fuel-injected Cam 95 engine and an Anniversary gold pinstriped tank console and fenders, the 2005 Harley-Davidson 15th Anniversary Edition Fat Boy made the NADAguides.com Top Summer Vehicles cut. "This bike offers a great mix of performance and styling ... a legendary nameplate with unique anniversary design, all the way down to the 24K gold-plated tank cloisonne," said Lenny Sims, managing motorcycle editor and VP of NADAguides.com. "This is a beautiful, well-built machine."

Top ATV -- 2005 Kawasaki KFX700

"Talk about power," said Valerie Rangel, motorcycle editor at NADAguides.com. "This ATV boasts a 697cc, liquid-cooled four-stroke, V-twin engine -- the kind of power that maneuvers through tight corners and up steep hills with sheer aggressiveness. This is a fast, powerful sport ATV with excellent steering capabilities and great new features -- a definite must-have for the 2005 summer season." The KFX700 also features dual front disc brakes and a racing-style chassis.
