-- Fuel Efficient Class C Diesel Motor Homes --

Winnebago Industries, Inc. , the leading United States (U.S.) motor home manufacturer, has now launched its new 2006 fuel-efficient Winnebago View and Itasca Navion motor homes.

Winnebago Industries' Chairman, CEO and President Bruce Hertzke said, "We received great response from our dealers when we previewed the new View and Navion at the National RV Trade Show in Louisville, Kentucky in December 2004. We commenced scheduled production of the new motor homes last month and have now begun delivery to dealers throughout the United States. Early reaction to the new motor homes has been extremely positive. The View and Navion are unique products within the RV market and offer customers a full-featured Class C motor home with revolutionary styling and fuel-efficient diesel design."

Winnebago Industries is currently the only RV manufacturer to offer a Class C diesel motor home built on the 10,200-lb. gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) Dodge Sprinter cutaway chassis from Daimler Chrysler. The chassis features a premium 2.7-liter CDI five cylinder turbo-diesel Mercedes Benz engine that delivers excellent power - 154 hp with 243 ft-lbs. of torque and excellent fuel economy estimated at 17-19 mpg. The View and Navion also feature five-speed tip shift automatic transmission that's designed to be one of the smoothest, most reliable transmissions on the market. The vehicle's overall size makes it easy to drive, park and maneuver with an excellent turning radius of 23.5 feet. The View and Navion also have independent front suspension and ABS four-wheel-disc brakes. A 3,500-lb. rated trailer hitch is also standard to allow the owner to tow their boat, jet skis, motorcycle - you name it.

Winnebago Industries stepped away from traditional applications to focus on innovative design elements and features that make the most of available space, while increasing comfort and functionality. The View and Navion offer fresh contemporary design inside and out with fresh clean bodylines and stunning interior selections to create motor homes unlike anything else on the market.

The View and Navion are offered in two exceptional floorplans, the 23H and 23J, both of which offer a front slideout room that expand the living space while parked and a front bunk that features a convenient hinged bunk mattress. The front bunk lifts to provide easy access to the cab area and allows owners to leave the bed made up if they choose. The new motor homes also feature a large multi-function skylight with sliding screen and a sliding pleated shade.

The aerodynamically designed cab is also user-friendly, with cab doors that open a full 90 degrees for easy access. The cab also features an ergonomically designed instrument panel, as well as six-way adjustable seats, driver and passenger air bags and an AM/FM/CD radio. A center mounted rear view monitor system and a SIRIUS Satellite Radio are also optional.

The View and Navion feature beautiful Washed Maple and Honey Cherry cabinetry. The contour design and accent moldings of the cabinets also add fresh new design elements, while the round styling of the sink and chrome, stainless and brushed nickel fixtures and hardware add to that fresh contemporary feel.

The 23H floorplan features a sofa slideout with an opposing dinette. A fully equipped galley, including a round stainless steel sink with cover, contemporary faucet, stove top and pantry, and a smart use of storage. A bathroom, including an innovative rollout shower door, is found in the rear of the motor home. The 23J floorplan offers a dinette slideout with a fully equipped galley on the opposing side. A rear bed fits nicely in the rear corner next to the bathroom, and easily lifts for access to a large exterior storage space that can accommodate an adult-size bicycle. Both floorplans offer a 15-inch LCD TV and DVD player, with the TV retractable on the 23J floorplan.
