Nissan Reveals Five New Products in China

Shanghai, China, Apr 19, 2005 - (JCN Newswire) - Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., today revealed five new products to be introduced in the Chinese market at a unique "SHIFT_" launch event in Shanghai. The five models are the Tiida compact sedan, Tiida hatchback, Fuga luxury sedan, Quest minivan, and 350Z sports coupe. Sales of the Tiida compact sedan begin today.

The Tiida features exceptional spaciousness, comfort and performance. The sedan features a roomy, high-quality interior. Powered by a newly developed 1.6-liter all-aluminum petrol engine, the Tiida offers a smooth, powerful driving experience. The Tiida sedan will be manufactured at the Huadu Plant of Dongfeng Motor Co. Ltd., the joint venture between Nissan and Dong Feng.

From this April, Nissan has started to implement NISSAN Value-Up, a new three-year business plan following NISSAN 180 for fiscal years 2005 through 2007. Sales in the Chinese market will play an important role in achieving the NISSAN Value-Up plan commitments. By the end of NISSAN Value-Up, Nissan's China sales are expected to be over 500,000 units*, making China Nissan's third-largest country market in the world.
