Cadillac Bicycles Unveils the Ultimate Expression on Two Wheels

Consumer Demand Drives Well-Known Automobile Brand to 'Brake' Into the Bicycle Industry

PARSIPPANY, N.J., May 13 -- Cadillac(R) Bicycles today announced the unveiling of six sensational bicycle models, marking the introduction of this premium automobile brand to the bicycle market.

The Cadillac brand -- synonymous with superior quality, style and comfort -- has a rich history of producing innovative, timeless designs and versatile, performance-driven products. Cadillac Bicycles' design team extended these same brand attributes to develop six Cadillac Bicycles, including two "adventure-sport" models emphasizing comfort, one All-Road multi-use trail bike, one mountain bicycle inspired by its Escalade SUV and a performance Road bicycle modeled after its CTS-V sports sedan.

"Cadillac Bicycles will be the benchmark for all bicycles with its advanced characteristics," said Ron Lippner, general manager of Cadillac Bicycles. "We are committed to providing the consumer that values quality, style and performance with the ultimate riding experience. In a world where brand names often go unrecognized by many, we believe Cadillac Bicycles will stand out in a league of its own."

"The Cadillac of ... " is often used as an expression to describe quality non-automotive products and items. For the first time ever, Cadillac Bicycles is making that expression a reality in the bicycle world with the launch of its new line of bicycles.

Cadillac Bicycles will be available in independent, specialty bike shops for $500 to $1,900. For the money, riders will get sophisticated frames made of carbon fiber composite and light weight aluminum, as well as high-end components. The bicycles are built with the finest materials and craftsmanship available including a patented quick-adjust stem system (ATS), eight-speed internal drive system and disk brakes. In fact, Cadillac Bicycles is the first bicycle brand in the U.S. to use the ATS system.
