Hybrid Technologies Solar Car Scores Big at International Hybrid Competition

2005 North American Solar Challenge Next Big Event for Hybrid Technologies and UC Berkeley Joint Venture

Hybrid Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:HYBT.E) - www.hybridtechnologies.com - and its subsidiaries - R-Electric Car Co., Global Hybrid Corp., Solium Power Corp., and WhistlerTel - emerging leaders in the development and marketing of Lithium-powered and VoIP products worldwide would like to update shareholders on our most recent success as well as the corporate status regarding recent corporate filings.

Held in Topeka, Kansas from May 15, 2005-20, 2005, the Hybrid Technologies sponsored CalSol - Berkeley solar race car placed third in the stock class and 4th overall, out of 30 competing cars. The Hybrid-Berkeley entry easily completed over 175 laps totalling 368 miles in the Formula Sun Grand Prix.

The Kansas event was the initial qualifier to the Nationally televised 2005 North American Solar Challenge race being held in July. The NASC2005 is a competition to design, build and race solar-powered cars in a cross country event. A total of 32 teams have enrolled for this race representing universities and technical schools from across the United States and Canada.

The race will leave Austin Texas on July 17 in a 2,500 mile race that will finish in Calgary, Alberta approximately 10 days later. Hybrid Technologies will host an event for national media and government for the July 28th arrival in Calgary.

Over the past eight months Hybrid Technologies has been working with the solar car engineering team at Berkeley University to create a high performance solar/lithium hybrid vehicle. The NASC2005 race features top universities from across the USA and Canada including Stanford University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Yale.
