A 100-member DENSO Team Joins Rouge Rescue 2005

       Employees to Help Restore Southfield Sections of Rouge River

  WHEN:  Saturday, June 4.  8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
         Come any time between 8 a.m. and noon.

WHO: Working with the City of Southfield Forestry Division, a team of 100 DENSO employees and their families will be participating in the 35th Annual Rouge River Cleanup. 14 local communities are being represented by DENSO's Japanese and American employees.

WHAT: A Southfield section of the Rouge River will receive some much- needed attention: removal of trash and the opening of logjams, with minimal disturbance to the river's bottom and banks. A youth education program discussing environmental issues, conservation and recycling will also be taking place for children nine years of age and older.

WHY: DENSO has supported Friends of the Rouge for seven consecutive years, with financial contributions and participation in the Rouge Education Project and annual Rouge Rescue Cleanup events. DENSO supports the environment and its communities.

WHERE: The DENSO/Southfield team will meet at the Early Impressions Day Care Center at 25000 Ten Mile Rd. (Ten Mile Road, just west of Telegraph) at 8 a.m., before walking to their cleanup site along the river.
