Suzuki to Boost Automobile Production in China to 160,000 Units
Tokyo (JCN) Nov 29, 2005- Suzuki Motor announced on November 25 that it will boost automobile production in China by affiliating local automotive assembly company Jiujiang Changhe Automobile to its Chinese joint venture Jiangxi Changhe Suzuki Automobile (JCSA) located in Jiangxi Province.
JCSA, owned 45.4% by Suzuki, produced the Carry Van and the Wagon R Wide for Suzuki in 2004, and plans to launch the Aerio (Liana in China).
With the move, Suzuki will be able to boost its annual production capacity from the current 100,000 units to 160,000 units.
