Motor Trend Expands Wireless Offerings

LOS ANGELES--Dec. 20, 2005--PRIMEDIA Enterprises, the worldwide brand licensing division for PRIMEDIA Inc., today announced the expansion of MOTOR TREND's wireless offerings through a collaboration with PowerMate Cellular, a premier manufacturer and distributor of wireless communication accessories. Together, the companies will develop a line of MOTOR TREND-branded cell phone and MP3/IPOD accessories. MOTOR TREND, the world's leading automotive authority and part of PRIMEDIA's Consumer Automotive Group, reaches more than 7 million dedicated car enthusiasts each month.

PRIMEDIA continues forge new deals that leverage the brand equity of its high-performance enthusiast titles, particularly through aggressive expansion into the wireless and portable media arenas. This announcement comes on the heels of several recent ventures that bring trusted content video from PRIMEDIA's Super Street, Import Tuner, Surfer and many other titles to cell phone and MP3 users looking to stay connected to their passions.

With the agreement, PowerMate will leverage its vast product offerings and develop a line of stylish, functional cell phone accessories that include headsets, power adapters, cases and antennas. PowerMate's DigiCom Digital will produce batteries, charges and digital accessories. Beyond cellular, PowerMate will introduce MOTOR TREND-branded power adapters, FM modulators, cases and headsets for the MP3/IPOD user. The complete line of accessories will roll-out in automotive specialty retailers, mass-merchandisers, food and drug stores nationwide by April 2006.
