Sixth Consecutive Year Over $6 Million Raised

DETROIT, Jan. 13 -- The NAIAS 2006 Charity Preview celebrating "30 Years of Caring for Kids" is expected to raise $6.8 million for 11 local charities. Each year, the black tie gala gathers together the who's who of the automotive industry with numerous surprise celebrity guests to raise money for children's charities throughout SE Michigan.

"We are so pleased that the NAIAS Charity Preview has been able to raise more than $57 million since 1989 benefiting so many children," said NAIAS 2006 senior co-chairman Richard Genthe. "Beneath the glitz, glamour and celebrity sightings all of our attendees support this event for one reason - the kids."

This year, the 30th annual NAIAS Charity Preview will be contributing $6.8 million to aid local charities bringing the total to $64 million. This is the sixth consecutive year we've raised over $6 million.

"The Charity Preview is a terrific event; it's the party of the year in Detroit," said David Sowerby, C.F.A., portfolio manager and chief market analyst at Loomis Sayles & Co. "Selling nearly 17,000 tickets is wonderful given the fact that during 2005, people have given generously to many charities including the Tsunami and hurricane relief funds among others."

  Charities benefiting from Charity Preview include:
  * Barat Child and Family Services
  * Boys & Girls Clubs of Southeastern Michigan
  * Boys Hope/Girls Hope of Detroit
  *  The Children's Center
  * Children's Services of Northeast Guidance Center Assistance League
  * Detroit Auto Dealers Association Charitable Foundation
