Hydrogen Fuel-Cell Cars Enter Service at Los Angeles Airport

LOS ANGELES, CA--(MARKET WIRE)--Feb 9, 2006 -- WHAT: Keys to five hydrogen fuel-cell powered cars from DaimlerChrysler will be presented to Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) officials at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). These zero-emission cars will be used for general transportation over a two-year period to further the development and practical experience with this technology.

The five prototype vehicles cost approximately $1 million each to develop. The cars will be on display and available for media to drive.
