Utility Trailer Introduces Standard LED Lighting

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif.--April 3, 2006--Utility Trailer Manufacturing Company, a leading manufacturer of dry freight vans, flatbeds, refrigerated vans, and Tautliner(R) curtainsided trailers, is pleased to announce that it has made Grote LED lighting standard equipment on its reefers, dry vans, flatbeds and Tautliner(R) trailers. In addition, the Company has made Grote LED dome lights optional equipment on its reefers and dry van trailers.

Leading the way in cost-efficient transportation technology, LED's last up to 10,000 hours while demanding less power. Operating in lower temperatures, LED's last longer than traditional fluorescents while offering more cost efficient alternatives for both owner-operators and fleets.

The Utility Trailer 3000R reefer and 4000D-X thin-wall dry freight trailer both now feature the Grote MicroNova(TM) LED rear header I.D./ clearance lights as well as the Grote Thin-Line SuperNova(TM) LED upper clearance/marker lights as standard equipment. The Grote 4" round LED stop/tail/turn light is now standard equipment on all models of Utility reefer, dry freight, flatbed and Tautliner(R) trailers.

The Utility standard-equipment Grote MicroNova(TM) rear header I.D./clearance lights features a low 1/2" profile, making the lamp less susceptible to damage. It also features a hermetic lens-to-housing seal, sleek aerodynamic styling, and bullet-proof potted for total circuit board protection against vibration and corrosion. The light is "oval" shaped, P2 rated and grommet mounted.

The Utility standard-equipment Grote Thin-Line SuperNova(TM) LED upper clearance/marker lights feature impact resistance and are sealed for moisture protection.

The Grote 4" round LED stop/tail/turn light is standard on all models and features bullet-proof potted circuit board protection and a hermetic lens-to-housing seal.

Utility Trailer's 3000R reefer and 4000D-X thin-wall trailer now also offer Grote LED dome light options. Available in 18 and 10 diode versions, the LED dome light configurations require less amperage than fluorescents while working in extreme temperatures providing light comparable to fluorescents.

"While LED marker and clearance lights and stop tail turn lights have been available as an option for some time, they have now become cost effective alternatives as a standard to the old technology for both owner operators and fleets," said Stephen Bennett, Vice President Purchasing, Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. "We're very pleased to offer these cost efficient alternatives to the old lighting technology as a standard."
