Gumball 3000 Roars to Unforgettable Finale as $28 Million
Worth of Cars Zoom to Rodeo Drive Finish Line
--
WHAT: The eighth annual Gumball 3000, the most rock 'n roll car
rally ever created, inspired by the outrageous road race
movies of the 70s, soars through the finish line at the
world-famous Rodeo Drive, completing the final leg of its
eight-day, 3,000-mile rally around the world. After
kicking-off in London on April 29, the Gumballers journey
through Vienna, Belgrade, Phuket, Bangkok, Salt Lake City
and Las Vegas, traveling 1,000 miles per continent (Europe
& Asia), completing the third leg of the rally in America.
Each year the route changes but the foundation of the
rally remains the same: 3,000 miles of adventure with the
most eccentric group of thrill-seekers imaginable --
everyone from celebrities to athletes to Fortune 500 CEOS
-- driving everything from million-dollar vehicles to VW
campers. Most enthusiastic, however, are the hoards of
fans lining the streets to greet the Gumballers as they
speed into checkpoints in each rally city.
